By car from the west or the south of the Netherlands the route goes via the ringroad Amsterdam (A10), Zaandam (A8), Purmerend, Hoorn and Den Oever (A7) to Den Helder (N99).
From the east the route follows the Afsluitdijk (A7), via Den Oever to Den Helder(N99). Den Helder has a train station as well.

The TESO ferry boat leaves from Den Helder every hour (on the half hour) which will bring you to Texel within 20 minutes. It is not possible and necessary to make a reservation.

On the island you follow directions to De Koog. There you can follow the signs to Grand Hotel Opduin.

Of course you can also take the bus (there is a busstop outside of the hotel). From train station Den Helder bus 33 takes you to the ferry and bus 28 will take you from the ferry to Opduin (on the ferry take the exit to the right). 

Parking is free in the large parking area belonging to the hotel.

Parking on OPduin's own parking lot is free of charge. On Texel you can park unlimited with the Texel vignet. This can be purchased online.
